<<Back to the Letters from Distributors Hi, my name is Erma Luckie. I am a new addition to the Planet Antares family. My job prior to going into business for myself was as a supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service. The job was very stressful, and I felt sick all of the time. My blood pressure was extremely high, which caused me to be placed on daily medication. I knew that something had to be done or chance having a stroke or heart attack. I attended a Planet Antares seminar, and after the presentation, I had such a good feeling about the company and the equipment. On the way home, my thoughts were that this is just what I need. I can do this, I can be the boss, set my own hours, and enjoy what I was doing for a change. This was going to be a big step to take, so after weighing all of the pros and cons, I decided to take an early retirement. I purchased five Refreshment Centers, and was given a delivery date of April 17th, 2001. When the freight truck pulled up in front of my building, and the driver started to unload, I was so excited. I looked at all of those cartons. As I counted them and started to do the inspection, I thought to myself, old Lord, what have I gotten myself into? Once I got started, it was rather easy and lots of fun putting the machines together for the purpose of testing them. I practiced removing the coin mechanisms and changing the price amount. I tested several types of snacks as well as beverages. It was almost like having a new toy to play with. So far, my two daughters and I have done all of the work ourselves - everything from finishing the assembly of the equipment, to renting the trucks, delivering and setting up at the various locations. My eight-year-old granddaughter goes with me every Saturday morning to two of my locations to help me restock the machines, and she loves it. She also goes shopping with me for the new supplies used for restocking. Since I only have a few Refreshment Centers, I haven't made a lot of money yet, although my granddaughter seems to think so. It is a nice feeling counting the coins and bills from the change machine, especially after a very good week at any of the locations. I have visualized myself counting the collections from forty-five to fifty Refreshment Centers on several occasions, and the feeling is very exhilarating to say the least. I know the growth potential is there, so my ultimate goal is to acquire a total of forty-five to fifty complete Refreshment Centers within the next five years. Operating my own business has been great. I enjoy the work and all of my customers have been simply wonderful. I look forward to seeing them every week, and I am looking forward to meeting new ones in the very near future. My appreciation goes out to the two great representatives that worked with me, because none of my achievements would have been possible without all of the support which I received from Mr Ed Goff in the beginning and Ms Adele Faniel, who is working with me now. So again, my appreciation goes out to both of them, and I would gladly recommend this business to anyone looking to start their own. Erma
